Beyond Rayner & Sturgess on the RTW front, Dege & Skinner seem to do a nice white shirt at £75. It's poplin but I don't know what quality. However, they have an excellent reputation as a bespoke shirtmaker so I imagine the RTW shirt is good quality and possibly good value as well, though I haven't a...

Presumably if you like the madder silk but not the dimensions of the tie and assuming you are particularly keen then there is the option of getting them to make some up for you with the desired measurements. I've noticed a lot of small knots this season. Some Zegnas are down almost a full inch from ...

Sunspel or Zimmerli. On the shirtmaker front, Robert Emmett has some nice patterns and the boxers wear well.

I think Drake's is fabulous. Customer service is excellent and they have a nicely balanced range including traditional and slightly more modern patterns. I know that your local Zegna store would also do MTM ties but Drake's would be my first call. I've heard tell of people getting it done in Harrods...

Unfortunately I came to this post much too late to see the programme. But did anyone see it and can you report what was discussed?

Very interested to hear what happened.

I too have looked at Camiciera di Como, as well as other Italian on-line options like Patro and Vittorio Marchesi. I've posted about them as well but have never found anyone to have used them. Most people's experience seems to be limited to the Indian or US-based operations, as well as Fil'Harmonie ...

With so many established quality RTW makers at lower prices - EW, Budd, Dege & Skinner, Emmett, H&H, Coles, T&A, N&L, I can't see the reason to risk a higher price on these people. I'm afraid, like Pink or Henry Jermyn, it's a bit of a marketing scam for people that don't really know better. Not tha...

Yes, the English tie-makers are a great source. But I do have a couple from Herr Hober and I must say they are magnificent. Just a caveat though, for all Grenadines: handle with care.

Hi Bishop - And you too! It looks like I have been drawn back from hibernation by a combination of a love of clothing (madder silks being one of the most recent) and a genuine feeling that a seismic shift may be afoot in at least one of these so-called fora where a groundswell might actually result ...

Sir Henry wrote:Anyone know how the Church's `royal range' compare to E.G's?
Not quite as elegant Sir Henry, but rather brilliant if you like Church's generally.
