Thank you, everyone, for the recommendations. I am gonna give it a shot this summer. That is the only way I find out if I will like it or not.
Cheers,
Yasu

Re: 3 roll 2.5 jacket for short men
Thank you, everyone for the comments Despite many of your suggestions, I am not a fan of one-button jacket and certainly not ready to make one any time soon yet. I will perhaps give it a try on a 2 button jacket with 3 roll 2.5 lapel. I will need to discuss with my tailor whether he would do it or n...

Re: 3 roll 2.5 jacket for short men
Surely the point of a thee button roll is that it provides a further buttoning point of it is needed, and it therefore lends itself to heavier cloth. A linen or fresco in my view should never be more than two button, and, as has already been said, a single fastening makes a real point; waist, snap,...

Re: 3 roll 2.5 jacket for short men
My motive for this is that it gives the lapel a nice "roll", which imo makes the jacket look more elegant. Here are some examples: https://stulenstil.files.wordpress.com/2013/01/3_1.jpeg?w=558 http://i.imgur.com/BGA8y8v.png 3 buttons -which I think has the unfortunate effect of swaddling you in clot...

3 roll 2.5 jacket for short men
Hi all, This topic may have already been discussed on this forum in the past. But I am considering commissioning a 3 roll 2.5 jacket for my next bespoke project. Whilst I am very enthusiatic about it, I have 2 concerns: 1. I am 5ft 6 and concerned that this may make me look even shorter. 2. Makes th...

Thank you Glenroyal!

Re: Navy HB suiting
I ended up getting a blue/charcoal pick & pick from the Smith Botany book. Not quite the luxury thing I had in mind, but I love the color and who knows how long that collection will remain intact. Now we'll see if a better solution pops up its head before next winter... Do you remember the referenc...

I have a dinner suit in SW8810 as well. Brilliant fabric in terms of shade and how it drapes.

Re: Overcoat or dinner suit?
Is it necessary to get a vest or cummerbund for SB? Is it acceptable to wear a linen shirt underneath?
i also wanted to know if its acceptable to have 1/4 lining on the jacket.

Re: Overcoat or dinner suit?
Thanks for the advices everyone. I still havent made up my mind but will get there one day lol... I think the suggestion of having an overcoat made MTM is a good idea. Should i find an ideal MTM service provider, ill take that option perhaps. Could you also recommend the styles of the dinner suit an...

Re: Overcoat or dinner suit?
Thank you all for the kind advices. The problem is that i would not get to use dinner suit very often as i live in a country where there are not many balls and other black tie events. The only times i get to wear a DJ are weddings. Im assuming i will attend about 15 weddings in the next 10 yrs and 5...
