I've been reflecting on my "sartorial journey" and I can say that I would not have come as far as I have without the assistance of the knowledgeable people in this forum. I recall in my twenties when my go-to dress was a "nice" t-shirt, a pair of jeans, no belt, and high-top basketball sneakers. I w...

Thanks again fo...

Distinctive for sure...in a suit it would be off the beaten path, but also tastefully adventurous.

Re: Apparel Arts and Esquire Images

These images are a continual inspiration and reminder of how it could be again. I shake my fist at the arbiters of the fashion cycle who present goods like the pocket square and lapel flowers as "New!", "Unique!", "It's In!" when these types of things have been part of the classic style portfolio si...

Re: Apparel Arts and Esquire Images

The last illustration, showing the grey flannel 2-button peaked lapel is quite dashing. I have some Harrison's 1080 grey flannel...hmmm!

Re: Apparel Arts and Esquire Images

Thanks for directing me to the LL Fox Flannel book Michael...I hadn't noticed those diagonals before. And the Gerberston is fantastic--it's on my list!
