Re: Who makes the best British ties?
As the Bishop already said, there is no shortage of British made "7 fold" ties. The Italian part of the tradition (with apologies to Mrs Bishop) is to exaggerate the actual number of folds in the construction -- there are only 6 in reality. There is massive confusion with respect to the terminology...

Re: Bespoke shirt (Massatelier Fasan, Berlin) - please comment!
Here are some shirt “rules” by which I abide. To the extent they answer the original poster’s questions, he is welcome to follow them, as is any other reader. To the extent they make me a putz, so be it. 1. “Fine” cottons (most 120s and up, even some 100s) do not make fine shirts. There is no reaso...

Unfortunately I came to this post much too late to see the programme. But did anyone see it and can you report what was discussed? Very interested to hear what happened. I actually gave false information. The filming was made on the day i mentioned. I do not know when and if the show has been aired.

Re: Thanks
RWS- Thanks for your comment. As a relative novice, I am not hard to please. I am hoping that in spite of the flaws in my photos, others with more experience can provide some perspective on the cut of the shirt. Regards, L.S. Shoulders too wide and sleeves too long as others have said. Do they actu...

I don't think Barrington Ayre actually sell online, only via a shop and visiting. I find it difficult to see how they can sell shirts this cheap if they are truly bespoke - we also sell bespoke shirts (made in UK by Rayner & Sturges) in Gloucestershire and the £50 would just about cover the cost of ...
