costi . ..i appreciate both your affirmation of my taste in cologne, and your witty response; i know i've been far more successful in my relationship with "green irish tweed" than with any woman if you measure success in years of commitment.

i typically buy my handkerchiefs from harvie and hudson's website. i prefer cotton, since it acutally absorbs sweat from one's brow in a hot louisiana summer. linen just seems to rearrange the perspiration, and silk just isn't cut out for that job either.

i love plain front trousers, and i just have this hang up about putting cuffs with plain front pants. i know all the arguments about how cuffs will make your pants fall more neatly, but the OCD in me yearns for a strict observation of the hard and fast rules in the chaos. it's a fool's hope i know.

cuffs or no cuffs on plain front pants

with regards to suits, i have asked this of a number of friends, and there doesn't seem to be any consensus. is there a right or a wrong answer to this question or is it a matter of personal style as to whether one should wear cuffs or no cuffs with plain front suit pants.

i've always felt that harvie and hudson should be rated higher than fourth or fifth or lower. the quality of their materials and shirts on offer, and the level of service easily put them in the top three.
