Falke is a German brand. I quite like their product. Always what I go for first at Le Bon Marché's infamous wall of socks.

In answer to your first question, yes they have all the fabrics you listed on hand. Their fabric selection is first-rate which is to be expected. However, if you'd already researched Charvet's tailor wouldn't you know this? Do you live in either London or Paris? Granted the two cities are just a 2+ ...

Camps De Luca clip (in French)

I came across this video clip ( http://www.dailymotion.com/video/x219hj_camps-jt_creation ) covering the Parisian tailoring house of Camps De Luca. It originally aired on TF1. As there's not much info on many of the Parisian tailors I thought it may interest some. Also shown are participants from L’...

Add my name to the list of those disappointed in the construction quality of Sermoneta's gloves. The one and only pair I owned began falling apart after rather minimal use. Plus the leather was unexceptional. I will say that the finest gloves I've ever seen and owned are from Hermes and their Ganter...

Marden, Bombay and Bombay Sapphire are both products of Bacardi. They're simply sold at different price points. I find both to be overpriced and neither to be very good. BS relies on a lot of, well, BS and marketing. I'm quite a gin lover and for me it's Tanqueray and Tanqueray 10, Hendrick's (thoug...

Marc Guyot + Cape Cod

I was walking near la Madeleine the other day and decided to check out the Crockett & Jones shop on the corner of rue Chauveau-Lagarde and rue Pasquier to see the works of the much discussed Dimitri Gomez (which were excellent) and I remembered that there was a very "Apparel Arts" inspired store nex...

Huntsman's fairly regular in running promotions. They just had that same special, free second trousers, for the month of January. The most recent special they've had is CMT pricing for any of their house tweeds. I'd be curious to know how common a practice this is amongst the various tailors.

I know I'm a bit late in praise, but this post is outstanding as usual Etutee. I waited until a recent flight to read it. I printed several of the articles in this series and it proved to be an excellent way to pass the time of the flight. The gentleman sitting next to me even got curious after seei...

I've received a couple of Rubinacci ties recently as gifts. I have to say that I quite like the patterns but found the ties a bit thin. Does anyone know the price they charge for bespoke? Is it comparable to what Charvet charges?
