Re: source(s) for Olive POW w/ Rust overcheck for odd jacket

Norcal,

Very nice. I've been looking for a similar fabric. Shame it's the last of it. Glad to see it go to someone who clearly appreciates it. Also, great story.

Cheers,
Doug

Re: Safely in the fold...

[quote="theoldesouth"]Nothing like experienced hands.[/q ...so true. Thanks to the OP for posting this. My folding technique is very similar, but the missing link was the zip lock bag. I've been using compression fold over "bag/strapping". The zip lock bag with the additional air is a great idea...s...

Shirt Tailors - Where do you recommend I go?

Hi All, My local tailor isn't a "shirt" guy and I was wondering if any of you could recommend a remote shirt tailor, preferably who has access to LL Linens? My tailor could take the measurements for me and then we could send them to a specialist from there. I was very impressed with Mary F's work re...

Re: Buttonholes on traditional bespoke

Does anyone know if Mary travels to NA, and if so where abouts? Also, does she speak English?

Thanks in advance.

Re: Shaving soap

Tabac's my personal favorite. I'm testing Castle Forbes right now and I still prefer Tabac, but it's quicker and easier when I'm short on time. It reminds me of Aqua di Parma. Mitchell's is hard to use but really effective the times I got it spot on.

Re: LLBR09 RAF PoW as a Blazer Suit?

I have to agree with you on this one. After a longer look at the fabric it just seems a SB makes sense...not sure why but it'll stick this time. Can't wait to get started on this one! I was going to wait on this fabric and get some charcoal Lesser made up first, but I'm going to change the order. I ...

Re: LLBR09 RAF PoW as a Blazer Suit?

Excellent. Thanks to everyone for their advise. I'm going to go with patch lower pockets, 3 roll 2, maybe 1/4 or 1/2 lined but I'll have to discuss that with my tailor, and single pleat and belt loops on the pants.

Cheers,

Doug

LLBR09 RAF PoW as a Blazer Suit?

Hello, I was wondering what people thought of using this really nice fabric in a blazer suit (2 patch pockets and a upper welt pocket). Initially, I was thinking of a DB. However, I took a position with a company yesterday where the dress code is business casual, and my client base will also be casu...
