Yes, it's been a long way but I ended up in square one.

Re: Ask a Neapolitan
LOL, not quite. It will eventually be a fully-structured jacket, and the only detail not decided yet is the pockets. Currently, I am leaning towards flap pockets after all but haven't made up my mind yet.ay329 wrote:Kamil, did you decide if you will make it a shawl cardigan?

Re: Great clothes made from Cloth Club fabrics
My opinion is that would be a waste of an excellent cloth. If you want a cardigan, buy a cardigan. Perhaps I didn't make myself clear. I don't want a cardigan but a jacket with little structure, and wonder whether this cloth, given its properties (weight, structure, hand, design, etc.) lends itself...

Ask a Neapolitan
I am considering having the Perfect Spring Coat cloth made up as follows: - quarter-lined - little or no shoulder padding - patch pockets The desired result is a piece of clothing that looks like a relaxed jacket but wears more like a cardigan, yet without clinging too much to the shirt. Fellow-memb...

Re: DB Crossover
Rodes, do you tend to run significantly warmer in your DB suits compared to the SB ones? I have contemplated having a DB made for some time now, but the fear of getting grilled in the office (which can get overheated) has prevented me from taking this step.

Re: Highest Quality Bespoke Ties
Surely, 'lighter' was used here meaning 'less dark' rather than 'less heavy'. By the way, it is also my experience with Hober ties, especially with various shades of navy. They all came out a little lighter than I was expecting but such is the problem ordering coloured fabrics without bothering to g...

Great food is one of the strongest associations I have with Catania, where I had spent several holidays, intensively exploring local restaurants and trattorias in addition to other activities. I will gladly share my experience if you're interested.

Re: Bespoke shoes in Warsaw - Januszkiewicz
Regarding the recent thread about Hungarian Rozsnyai shoes (http://thelondonlounge.net/forum/viewtopic.php?f=4&t=11426), I thought I would share a couple of pictures of my double-stitched derbies by Januszkiewicz for comparison. In Poland this kind of stitching, whether double or triple, is called "...

Re: 50oz print ties
I've got several Capelli's 3-folds and am very happy with the knots, especially with the effortless dimple (except for the unlined ones, which are also more prone to wrinkling).

Re: Bed Linen
I fully support this recommendation. I've had a sheet made up of the 'Premier Deluxe' linen and it's turned out great. I also purchased a Damask tablecloth from them and I must say it looks sublime. It doesn't hurt, either, that their responsiveness and customer service are exemplary. I can recommen...

Dr T., thanks for the tip. What do you mean by 'not too light'? And how does wool+mohair compare to fresco?
