Drapers do not in fact make the cloth, I beleive this is a Loro Piana or perhaps a VBC cloth in a re-branded incarnation.

I certainly wouldn't stop you! In the UK I have seen it many many times. Admittedly usually it is something that only a native Scot would wear but if you have a link with a clan then you should crack on, and as Simon A says plenty of the Scottish regiments in the British Army wear the same, no quest...

I have this on a few of my shirts, difference being there is a button attached on the inside cufflink hole which means the cuff can either be worn in the more formal style with a cufflink, or alternatively buttoned so as to look like a barrel cuff.
