Re: Bespoke Overcoat

Michael,

"Cashmere would be too fine for such an application". By this, do you mean that the Everest cloth would not be substantial enough or that it is too refined for a casual coat?

Thanks,

Lance

Re: Bespoke Overcoat

ay329 - Is this "As to a warm cloth...Michael Alden mentioned he is commissioning a 35 oz (1000 gram) durable cashmere in a Dark Navy" one of Michael's Cloth Club projects? I certainly hope so. I presently own a navy pea coat in a 90/10 wool/cashmere blend and it is far more comfortable than the all...

Re: Bespoke Navy Peacoat

Hello - I, too, am considering comissioning a peacoat by someone on the Row. Which tailors have the military history to do it well?

Re: Linen

I intend to contact them with my request so I will let you know about minimum orders here in the US. And thanks again for the additional source. Hopefully, I'll find myself lost in Belgium one day. :)

Re: Linen

Thank you shredder, they have a very informative website; and in English, too! Great source for linen and flax. I've been looking for just this type of cloth to dye with natural indigo. http://www.mastersoflinen.com/en/

Re: Buttoning the 6 x 3 Polo coat

Hello Michael - I have attempted to view your numerous videos without success. I am particularly interested in the polo videos yet when I view them (as well as others), I receive only intermittent audio and no movement in the video. Am I the only one and can anyone suggest a remedy? By the way, I've...

Re: Paul Stuart New York

From the selection still remaining at sale price, the typical Paul Stuart client doesn't like it either!

Re: Paul Stuart New York

I have always liked Paul Stuart's accessories, especially their ties which show a sense of whimsy. You can always find a few ties to put a smile on your face.

Re: Who makes this today?

I wonder, can we even buy shirting like this today? I think I've seen shirts from the Italian makers, for instance Armani, which have texture and heft like those shown above. Possibly Charvet, with their extensive inventory, offers something similar.

Re: Who makes this today?

What about the shirts shown below the coats? The cloth is interesting, lots of texture.
