decent slippers for a boy

I can't seem to find decent slippers, "Grecian" or similar, in size 3. Is there a place (or online site) to go to?

Re: Sponge bag - practical recommendations?

Thank you both, very helpful.

Man at C&A, could you tell me if the Daines wetpack you have is all right even when it's packed?

Sponge bag - practical recommendations?

After the last trip with my bathroom things stuffed in freezer bags by my pragmatic wife, I found it's time for a something less depressing. I really like the military-style wetpacks (eg as sold by Daines and Hathaway, Trumper's, Drakenberg), but I seriously doubt they'd look as nice once they're fi...

Re: Cocktails

Oh, I might be wrong there, that's just how I sometimes pour it together, without naming it. :)

But thanks, that's already a first part of the answer to my question, then.

EDIT: "French" sounds dry to me rather than just white.

Gin & It

Ah, well... But back to cocktails: I sometimes enjoy a Gin & It, by simply pouring a decent London Dry gin and white vermouth roughly half and half on two ice cubes in a tumbler. Now I'm not a collector of bar books and haven't interviewed older relations, but I wonder if this similar to what would ...

Re: manbags?

The things I have to carry are even more now than when I wrote the post above three years ago, and I haven't found any new solutions, except that one might deposit house or flat keys and a burglar alarm remote control in one's letter box, taking along only the key to that, but that's a bit of a risk...

Re: Who are you?

This might do more damage than good. One is used to one's mirror image; for this reason photographs or unexpected glimpses in a double-mirror give you this unpleasant impression. Yes, this is what you really look like and how others see you, but that you look terrible, and certainly worse than you k...

Ah, I see what you mean concerning the colours… A nice red would be good.

Chinos with non-squeeze bottom ends

I thought I could do with some pairs of chinos for the summer and tried some on in shops, but they all had very narrow bottom ends. I'm not overly muscular (and not fat), but I had to pull them over my calves like surgical stockings, then straighten my foot like a ballerina to get it through. Are th...

Re: In defence of electric shavers

It very much depends on your stubbles' way of growth. For (not to!) some people, it doesn't make much of a difference whether they go electric or wet, for others, it does. The real problem for people with difficult hairs is that you can get a good, close shave (leaving aside the problem of dark hair...

Re: The Minimum Wardrobe reposted

By evening coat you mean dress coat/"tails", or an overcoat? If the former, just out of curiosity, may I ask why you need two?
