my colognes and their popularity with ladies... 1. J Peterman's "1903" 2. Sandlewood oil from the Body Shop 3. Grey Flannel 4. Herrera For Men 5. Drakkar Noir I'm sort of in the Euromerican Trash "Kiss the ladies when you greet them" crowd, so they get plenty of chance to smell the cologne. #1 and 2...

Thanks for the encouragement. I received the suit and wore it several times to break in the garment to my frame. I met with Graham again in Philadelphia this fall and he again made a ton of tiny measurements and adjustements. It is supposed to be done shortly. The suit and a blazer will be available...

With the kind help of Cantabrigian, the three pics shall be posted shortly. Technologically, I depend on the kindness of Samaritans.

posting pics here?

Gents, Finally have the pics ready to post of my Dege and Skinner 2nd fitting. However, I'm uncertain how to use a publicly accessed picture, etc. The directions from the FAQ aren't really quite good enough for me - technically illiterate. They read thusly: "Can I post Images? Images can indeed be s...

Moustache / beard - Care, grooming, wax?

Gents, At the request of my lady friend, I've grown a very successful moustache and goatee combo. The moustache, is - alas - a bit unruly, with some wiry hairs that stick all over the place as it grows out. Does anyone have recommendation for how to 'train' the hairs, with comb, wax, etc? I did a bi...

a.: How did the fitting go? You were correct, I just had a fitting in Wilmington this morning (Saturday). Sean sorry for the very late reply, sean. I had an eventful summer. This second fitting was very involved, took over an hour and I added a navy blazer to the mix. They didn't ask for another pa...

Likewise, sean. I am anticipating my next fitting which will be in my home city of Philadelphia this friday (!). I assume Sean that you will meet the tailors in Wilmington. No idea what will happen exactly at this stage. I assume some more measuements, some more money, and perhaps a few more decisio...

gents, thanks for all the thoughts. I passed on the trolley bag from Boyt(?) because I was afraid it might be too large for certain types of flights - overhead is fine on Airbus to UK, but maybe not on a smaller plane to Chicago. In the end I went with the Hartman. Altho the guarantee isn't quite as...

Luggage for my bespoke threads...

Gents, I was awaiting a script at the Pharmacy and dropped into a fancy luggage store nearby. They have a fabulous sale on great bags - about 40% off, so I am considering finally upgrading my luggage (long overdue) to protect my new Dege and Skinner threads. My desire is a bag small enough to be a c...

Re: Report from Savile Row: 1st experience with Dege and Ski

This is a continuation of my 'savile row tailor' thread. Well There will be a hidden front interior pocket for a cellphone (or tiny handgun, I suppose?). way? How is this to be done - where is it? I am used to the fob pocket accessed from the top of the waist band which is very effective but can't ...

Report from Savile Row: 1st experience with Dege and Skinner

This is a continuation of my 'savile row tailor' thread. Well, I did enjoy my first experience at Dege. Graham Lawless and I quickly worked out that for a first suit a basic 3-Button in navy blue would be best. The fabric choice took the longest. I picked a subtle pinstripe pattern with the dots far...
