Re: What should I commission next?

I've always loved the birdseye pattern and am considering something in a charcoal birdseye. Dear Sam, A birdseye is at an advantage in a medium to dark gray where the general color is the result of the contrasting combination of what is perceived as lighter grey "birdeyes" on darker gray background...

Re: What should I commission next?

Gentlemen, Thank you for your feedback. I am leaning towards the DB suit. To answer your questions, I live in Washington, DC where we have extreme temperatures in the summer and winter but spring and fall are wonderful. The summers can get very hot and humid and the winters can be very cold as we've...

What should I commission next?

Gentlemen, I'm trying to decide what my next suit or sport coat order should be. I have 1 single breasted navy suit, 1 blue sport coat, 1 brown glen check sport coat and 1 grey glen check sport coat. I've wanted a double breasted suit for a long time but am wondering how much utility I will get out ...

Does anyone know of a book that has something close to the scale shown in this old Esky illustration? Any help is much appreciate...

Latest commission: self-stripe cotton white pajamas with dark blue piping. Bespoke pajamas; very cool! I didn't know one could have pajamas made bespoke. Costi, would you mind telling us who is making these for you? I was considering a pair from either T&A or Derek Rose, but bespoke would be even b...

A timely and helpful thread. Here are my current projects: -A camel hair polo coat made in the classic tan color from W. Bill's camel hair book in 19/20 oz. - A blue herringbone sport coat from the P&H Glorious Twelfth book: 1 button, open patch pockets, double vents. - A pair of plain toe oxfords w...

Pardon my ignorance, but could someone please explain the difference between a Chesterfield and a Covert coat? Illustrations would be much appreciated. Also, which of the two would be most appropriate for more casual wear? Thank you.

+1 for cavalry twill. I have a bespoke pair of heavy cavalry twill trousers that drape beautifully, and wear like iron. I'm sure they will outlast my jeans.

Timely post Cantabrigian. I'm considering the same for my next fall jacket, and was also concerned about the sagging issue. Kolecho's advice about the mini-pockets makes sense. I'll probably ask my tailor to do the same.

What is Sexton's house style? Does he make US trips? Price? Does he still do the cutting himself?
