needn't anything be done to replenish the natural oils? Cordovan leather is very rich in its own oils. You just have to heat it with brushing to get the oil to the surface. I have 20 year old cordovan shoes that have never seen wax or oils, they are supple and shine with a bit of brushing. OK, let'...

Something which really stood out was the side view pictures of Sator's suit. lf you look at the collar, you will notice that it actually doesn't sit against the shirt collar. There is quite a noticable gap, similar to how a RTW suit collar would fit. While l love the look of the suit, l do feel tha...

When l made my previous comment on Sator's nice suit, l was on a laptop and only got to see the first picture. Being on my proper computer, l have seen all the pictures and feel l must make further comment. Something which really stood out was the side view pictures of Sator's suit. lf you look at t...

late to this topic, but..... Black brogues are one of the nicest looking shoes known to man. l couldn't image how good black shell cordovan longwings must be. Hmm, first I ever heard of anyone disliking brogues, let alone hating them. The first pair of bespoke shoes I commissioned John Lobb to make ...

l couldn't bare a 20 Oz tweed in 23 degree weather, but l sure like the suit. lt's the best fitting suit i've seen from your tailor....almost makes me want to give him a go (much more affordable than my guy).

Regards: a friend.

Sounds like a great idea.

Try getting Harris Tweed in my country these days. None of the shops supply it anymore because they say it's too old hat. Even a google search doesn't bring up any Tweed coats.

Use as stiff a brush as you can find. I have seen cordovan leather polished on a motor driven belt polisher with nearly sand paper like brushes attached. The same treatment would turn calf leather into shredded carrot salad. So brush the daylights out of it and the natural oils will polish the shoe...
