Re: Cuffed Sleeve on Sports Jacket

Many thanks for your comments.
12 other guys and I opted for that choice of contrasting buttonholes threads.
I did comtemplate to keep buttonhole threads to be the same, but...
Overall, I like this jacket, and it is reserved for dinner parties. Lucky me.

Re: Stylish slim wallets

The picture below shows a slim wallet with coin pocket with great style. I have been using it for 10+ years; however, I could not find a new replacement anywhere. It is made by GoldPfeil. If by chance some of you spotted a new one, please inform me. Thanks. https://lh5.googleusercontent.com/-6CkCaKG...

Re: My shirt collar looks OK? Please advise

Thank you so much for those comments. I really appreciate them, especially hectorm's. In the past 3 years, my shirt/collar style is the one you see in the pictures. Although those shirts are comfortable, I do find my overall collar style looks different from other well made shirts. I did specificall...

recommended fabrics for cream, ivory, white dinner jacket

Would you please give me some ideas for dinner jacket fabric choice in cream/ivory/white. Thanks you very much. Below is a light beige colour fabric with barathea weave. Is it appropriate for dinner jacket? It definitely looks a few shades darker than the usually light beige/cream fabric. Picture ta...

What trousers style to pair with smoking jacket?

I have read articles which recommend that one could wear [solid black trousers without satin/grosgrain silk side stripes] with velvet smoking jacket/dinner jacket. What do you think? What about single/double breasted shawl collar cream color dinner jacket? If one were to wear a midnight blue color t...

Re: The ideal smoking jacket

Hi Michael, The Duke's green DB jacket pairs with navy trousers. What would be a good choice for the trousers (color and material) to pair with the Duke version of camel/vicuna color DB smoking jacket? Should it have double vents? And, are the Duke's smoking jacket sleeves cuffed? Which style of cuf...

New Blue Woollen Flannel Blazer project

This is my latest project. Super 180s Woollen Flannel in Blue 3-2 button, notched, double vents, buttons: brass buttons. So, this is a blazer! What do you think of this jacket's armhole execution? http://img510.imageshack.us/img510/4456/blueflannelgrand5915424.jpg http://img204.imageshack.us/img204/...

Final: Improvement made to my 1992 DB suit jacket

So, I requested my tailor to replace a new set of buttons. Also, I took Costi's suggestion. Now those four buttons are positioned like four corners of a square. And I have decided that this is my db blue blazer. I did not wear my jacket quite properly. That explains why my jacket's left side is a ta...

Re: My 3rd Brisa fabric suit project. Dark Grey

Costi, Thanks for your input. The coat is half lined. I think this coat's button position was a little bit high. Also the pocket opening position is somewhat higher than my other coats. I will post the completed suit pictures soon. I mentioned that this is my 3rd Brisa fabric suit. I have total of 4...
