It's doubtful that Rubinacci actually makes their own silk knit ties. They probably contract out to a specialty mill, just as all the other tiemakers do. Of course the ties are made to their specifications as to color, pattern, dimensions, etc...

I have three DJ's, two SB and one DB. I rarely wear the DB because I find that it's too warm(it must be buttoned at all times), but then I have a tendency to run hot. Also, I like to untie my bow tie at the end of the evening and it doesnt look that good with a buttoned DB DJ.

All things considered, JLC may be the best value.

Mr Dufour's watches are no longer available from him, production of the Simplicity is capped at 200 (?), and all have been sold.
