Coats with waistcoats

Dear All

If electing to wear a waistcoat, does convention dictate that ones coat should be three button or is this a matter of personal taste?

I am rather struck by the idea of two button with waistcoat, if this is acceptable then should the waistcoat be cut differently?

Many thanks in advance

Vents

Dear All

What is the convention for vents on a coat?

Is it personal preference or does convention rule when having ones coat cut?

Many thanks

Vents - single? Double?

Hello all

I have a question regarding vents at the back of a coat

On a single-breasted coat are there any specific formulas as to whether to elect single or double vents or is this personal preference?

Am I correct that double-breasted coats have no vent

Thanks in advance

With the addition of a waistcoat should ones coat be larger than with a two piece? For example: a chest measurement of 42 inches for a 2 piece, should...

Mumbai tailors

Dear Sirs

I am due to spend 12 months in Mumbai from March 2008.

I would be grateful if any members could recommend a tailor or tailors in or around Mumbai where I will be able to order some new suits

Many thanks in advance

Royal tailors

Dear All

Can anyone assist in drawing up a list of tailors favoured by the various members of our Royal Family?

I seem to recall fairly recently Prince Charles received some press attention for moving from A&S to Turnbull and Asser MTM

Many thanks
