Thanks gents, truly great recommendations and links! I fell in love with Holland & Holland's linen safari jacket. Their jackets seem to be of the same quality as Beretta Gallery's safari-wear, but more stylized. The only problem I see is that their prices seem pretty steep for RTW. Purdey has a grea...

Matt, Your blog is top notch! From one young sartorialist to another... well done chap! Please post the pictures of your Rubinacci jackets on the lounge when you get a chance. I would also like to hear about how you like the Matuozzo shirts. BTW, I'm going to be in Rome on the 8th. Where did you do ...

Thanks for your recommendation. I'm going to check into it. I have a ranch in west Texas where the temperature gets sky-high during the summer. Pith helmets are actually still quite practical for warm weather, as the pith/cork absorbs water for a cooling effect without warping the shape of the helme...

Pith Helmets

I'm not sure if there is much of a market for these anymore, but does anyone know of a good bespoke pith helmet maker? Most of the examples I have found online are hand made in Vietnam, but are of the one-size-fits-all variety. Here are two examples of the English "Zulu War" style helmets I am quite...

Who to Visit in Florence and Milan?

Hello gentlemen, I'm traveling to Italy in mid-August and am hoping to drop in on a few tailors in Milan and Florence. Even though I won't be in-country long enough to begin fittings on a three-piece, I'd like to find a good cutter and possibly get some shirts made (time permitting). I'll be returni...

The first is a promotional still I found on the web a while back. The second is an actual screen-capture I took from the movie. I believe I captured the image during a shot when the camera was panning upwards to reveal the actor. I recently saw the new Ocean's Thirteen film and was a bit disappointe...

Thanks for your replies. Good eye on spotting the Tod's logo. I'll have to make my bespoke pair extra special to set them apart. I like the look of the heel though, maybe it will save me a sprained ankle.

Cheers.

"Horseshoe" Style Heel on Bespoke Shoes

Hello gentlemen. I'm new to the LL ranks and look forward to becoming an active member of this community. Here are two images of the French actor Vincent Cassel wearing some summer-ready mocs with a unique "horseshoe" style heel. http://i134.photobucket.com/albums/q101/nimbusnic/2004_oceans_twelve_0...
