Dear bengal-stripe, It is called a ‘Thomas heel’ and is quite common in orthopaedic shoes. thank you very much for that info. I didn't know that this type is called "Thomas heel". Now it's memorized and every time when someone will ask me I can tell him or her this common name. :) Bye, star314.
