Etutee, most of your articles, complete with pictures, sit bound into seasonal reference folders, adjacent to my sartorial inspiration shelf. The articles embolden me to attempt new fusions of suits, shirts and ties. Sometimes a combination works, other times not, but in making the attempt I learn....

I can't vouch for its accuracy, but perhaps this might be of some use to you:

Shirts are definitely sent out. I would ask on the suits.

Gian DeCaro

He features an Italian style. Some great accessories for the Seattle area and his shop is worth a visit for that alone.

Lots of great names, and great dressers, but some favorite personalities: I learned of menjou through this forum, and any man who titles his autobiography, "It took 9 tailors" will always have a soft spot with me. I would also give another nod to Fairbanks Sr. whose style so impressed a young Cary G...

heavier cloth is such a dream to wear. Despite enough natural protection, I would always rather be too hot than too cold.

Etutee, Always wonderful! I really liked the crash trousers here on the right: http://img215.imageshack.us/img215/1348/yellowdrinkswm7.jpg Some dumb questions. 1. Would these have been a flannel as mentioned in other parts of the article? 2. I have never heard of crash trousers/crash pants before. I...

Interesting post. It is that corruption of style which led me to bespoke. The lack of life in the pre-made, mass produced nonsense. It always seemed to lack, well, character. I am often reminded of Guy Debords notes on drinking: I have wandered extensively in several great European cities, and I app...

Looking for cloth

I recently picked up a biography of Chaplin. Was very surprised to find him very well dressed in private life. Also included were some pictures from the founding of United Artists. I was taken by the fabric of DW Griffiths suit. Does anyone know what this is? Looks like a Donegal, but not quite. Tha...

Etutee, You continue to amaze, astound and astonish. This is another really terrific post. I am most appreciative that your posts represent a kind of progression. I don't think I could have really understood this post without some of your earlier ones. I also can't say enough about how much your pos...

Based on some of your prior posts, I've tried out color combinations with much more confidence. They've turned out great and I...
