Re: Short trip to Naples (autumn 2009)
Thank you. Vesuvio seems to be fully booked on all weekends in October - I try to arrange something with my travel agency.
Will Ambrosio be able to do a fitting after 24h?
Regards,
Max

Short trip to Naples (autumn 2009)
Dear LondonLoungers, i plan to visit Naples with my father for three days in October this year. Besides enjoying the good food and a nice hotel (recommendations welcome!) I would also like to do some shopping. Ties should be no problem. I plan to visit Marinella for some bespoke ties, maybe Attolini...

Did anyone find The Rake at a newsstand in Europe? London, Paris, Zurich?

Re: Bespoke shirt (Massatelier Fasan, Berlin) - please comment!
Just to clarify: What is the shoulder seam? The seam running from my neck to the arm on top of my shoulder? And where should it sit?
Thanks, Max
Thanks, Max

Thank you very much for your answers. I will ask my tailor for higher pants with the next suit. I will keep you posted on the improvements with my shirtmaker.

Bespoke shirt (Massatelier Fasan, Berlin) - please comment!
Dear fellow boardmembers, I received my first bespoke shirt from a small tailor here in Berlin (Atelier Fasan, Bleibtreustr.). I would really like to get your comments on it. There are several "issues" I have with the shirt (see below) - but I would also be very interested what other LL'ers think ab...

@Costi: This is a very "digital" argument. Yes, clothing should not be like Spandex and be a second skin. Agreed. And I am not talking about Thom Browne here. But there is quite a spectrum of possible interpretations. There are numerous examples of fine suits in this board that have a "neat" silhoue...

I would enjoy advanced RSS features like subsribe to "new posts" or "new threads". As already noted, a better search function would be of help (especially for new members and guests). I still have problems with posting pictures. I don't know if those can be solved with a redesign. Sometimes response...

Fuller trousers
I tried to follow Mr. Aldens advice and try out fuller trousers. I ordered a pair of flannel daks top trousers and just received them. (I know they are a tad too long and therefore have too much crease). http://api.photoshop.com/home_14a10782ea46400fba2de007952b82e5/adobe-px-assets/3e73d25342db4cf3b...

Many true words. I also always had the impression, that most the "how to dress" books tend to move the sartorial illiterate readers in the wrong direction and away from a confident, own style. There was a post a few weeks ago on "dressing to old for someones age" - and I think there are a lot of par...

Improving overall silhouette
Gentlemen, after the helpful comments on my "posture issue" I would like to follow Mr. Alden's invitation and ask for your feedback on my latest MTM suit and possible directions to improve the overall silhouette with my next suit. (Right now I am considering another MTM - or I might try a bespoke ta...
