London Lounge in Phantom Thread
It's delightful to see that Michael's London Lounge, Fox Brothers flannel was selected for a chalk stripe suit featured in Phantom Thread. The weight is classic, 1930s style at 18 ounces.

Re: Apparel Arts and Esquire Images
That's a spectacular 18 oz. grey flannel chalk stripe, Michael, with real depth and character to the fabric. The 4x1 button stance is, to my eye, the most elegant arrangement for a DB suit, especially when the lapels are just the right width, as they are here. Today we have the May 1935 issue of Esq...

Gentlemen, I present to you Esquire March 1935, followed by the April '35 issue. I've taken the time to improve the quality of the images, so we'll have brighter pictures and crisper text. A 3-roll-2 glen plaid tweed jacket with 8 inch side vents, popular with the undergraduates at Oxford and Cambri...

You can also use "ctrl +" or ctrl -" to enlarge or reduce the screen to have them fit your browser. In 1935 ca...

Linen shirting
A piece of forgotten menswear history is that linen was once considered the premier fabric for shirts. Henry Adams, the great American writer, notes in a 1910 letter to his brother that Edouard Charvet recommended linen over silk. Edouard was the head of Charvet, and the son of the founder: https://...

Great overcoat Marlon. Beautiful fabric and cut. I especially like the shoulders, the width of the lapels, and the waist suppression.
