Wash and wear and wear
I apologize for this question, which I think must be laughably ignorant, but I wonder how many times I ought to wear my shirts before sending them to the laundry. The starch seems to handle about 2 days, and with an undershirt, I don't feel I'm being gross. But am I lengthening its life or shortenin...

Watch Band Matching
Do you worry about your watchband not being the same color leather as your shoes and belt? I am thinking primarily of business dress, but the question may have application to saturday wear as well.

The art of ordering Jantzen
Could you supply some specifics of "milking" Jantzen as you called it? Have you provided accurate measurements, or have you artificially increased them? I find that after measuring twice, my Jantzen shirts still come back to me a little short in the arms and narrow in the shoulders.

Alden, Edmunds & Goodyear Welting
I need new shoes, so I went shopping today. The saleslady was telling me things I don't think are right, so you guys are the ones to straighten me out. I see glue between the sole and upper on the Allen Edmunds shoes I was thinking of. Does that mean they aren't very high quality? Do Alden shoes hav...

I freely admit that my choice of words is not ideal. That's most of the point actually - I'm searching for the right words. And I certainly don't mean to offend anyone's sensibiilty. But it sounds to me like you're saying that for a given person, any suit will always fit the same way (circumfrence o...

Terminology Q for suit fit
As I look at pictures, I see what I think is a British look - sort of tight, for lack of a better word - narrow in the waist, tight around the arms (maybe somewhat shorter on the wrists?). Other suits are more baggy (this is a terrible adjective, I realize, and I don't believe they are ill fitting)....

Made To Measure: a worthy middle road, or a waste?
I have definitely been at the RTW pricepoint, but with wearing a suit 4 days a week, and becoming more critical of my present wardrobe, I am thinking of moving upward in the suit world. I see two problems with bespoke in my situation. First, I am in Louisville, KY - No bespoke here, as far as I can ...

(Coats Question) Would you wear...
A couple farm-boy ignorant questions for your collective knoweldge base.
Would you wear a heavy black wool overcoat, or are blue, brown, and tan the only acceptable colors?
Would you wear your burberry trench when it's cold but not precipating (not as a rain coat?)
Thanks.

I like fine furniture, but a valey that looks very nice and is only $100 seems a good place to save some cash. It holds what, 10 pounds? Save your cash for something that takes some wear and tear, in my opinion.
