I have read the amazing wedding attire post and have noted the advice there but I still have a couple of questions. Our florist has made a couple of suggestion these being a gerbera, which I do not l...

At first i thought of getting the sleeves shortened but as I have worn it the creasing seems to have raised them just enough. I'm not sure how this will work out in the long term but it is good to know that this is an option. One of the reasons I purchased the jacket is because of the after sales se...

Thank you very much for your advice. I have purchased the jacket and did indeed opt for a size larger than my usual. I'm very pleased with it so far although the ravages of winter are not yet upon us! Apologies for my misspelling of Impolite in my original post, I think there must have been a little...

Both The Merrion and Shelbourne are excellent recommendations with the later having had a recent face lift and looking all the better for it. A slightly less grand but no less pleasant stay can also be had at The Clarence, where I have found the staff to be most helpful and always highly professiona...

Barbour jacket

I'm in the process of purchasing my first Barbour jacket and I was informed by a friend that they shrink a little over time. I felt that perhaps he had enlarged a little over time and it my not be the jacket at fault. I didn't challenge him on this, not wanting to be in-polite. Can anyone confirm if...

Irish whiskies are definitely worth a look. Two of my favourites are: Midleton Very Rare, has a really velvet finish, dangerously drinkable and Redbreast 12 Year Old. Have you tried the Redbreast 15? I haven't tried it yet but have heard really good things about it. I look forward to tracking it do...

Day: Hermès Eau d'Orange Verte. A scent I never tire of. Have tried Concentré d'Orange Verte but found it less focused and a bit bland. Evening: Hermès Hermessence Collection Poivre Samarcande. Just switched to this at Christmas (from Creed Vintage Tabarome). A Jean Claude Ellena creation, it's fant...
