"Men of the Cloth"

Pardon if this fairly-recent (2017 release) Netflix piece has been previously mentioned, but the "search" function was not of much help. That said, I came upon this documentary last night on Netflix. The premise is the (2010) status of bespoke men's tailoring and the suggestion that it is in an irre...

Re: HBO documentary on Agnelli

Oddly, one of the movies I watched outbound was "All the Money in the World", based on the Getty kidnap and refusal of JP to pay the ransom.

Re: HBO documentary on Agnelli

Saw it on flight back from Madrid. Major takeaway: a good suntan goes a long way in enhancing stylish appearance.

Re: Travel Shoes

I've had many years of good service with Mephisto oxfords. They are a great walking shoe, long-lasting, sure footed, and very comfortable, with Goodyear welt. Suggest the Marlon; comes in black and chestnut. They don't win on style points, but you will appreciate them through the day, and, especiall...

Re: Aceto Balsamico Tradizionale: Availability in the US

I am suggesting the following for your consideration: https://cortibrothers.com/collections/vinegar?page=2 Corti Brothers has been in operation for almost 70 years. I have known the current, second generation owner/operator, Darrell Corti, for many years. He enjoys a lengthy, favorable international...

Re: English people in London?

Which begs the question: what is an Englishman? Born in England? (and residing in England?). Causcasian? Born outside of England to "English" parents. Or, rather, is it simply a function of citizenship? Or is it, to coin a phrase, "I don't know what an Englishman is, but I know one when I see one". ...

Re: Perfumes

Couch, you have obviously smelled the reformulation. Try to find the original masterpiece . It's a 10, the second best would be an 8 and that's exceptional. The current edition (I would give it a 7) comes in a bottle that looks like the original bottle, but all the details (cap, nozzle, borders on ...

Re: Beautiful Pens

I have found the MB line to be very overrated and have relegated my 3 to the back of the drawer. My "daily carry" is a Pelikan Souverän K 600 ballpoint. I have removed the standard issue ink cartridge and replaced it with a Parker .7m blue gel ink cartridge. The looks and ergonomics of the pen are v...
