Is Babbo a possibility for the Windsor 2 ?
Like Concordia said, there is a lighter weight Babbo quality that would work great for this creation...
I have no interest in a Babbo version of this cloth. If we are switching to Babbo, I would withdraw my commitment.

Re: North of Italy: Milan, Turin, Genoa

Genoa is at the northern end of the Ligurian coast, itself worth getting out and exploring. I strongly recommend visiting Recco, and purchasing Focaccia di Recco alla Formaggio from a small restaurant (there are several that specialize in it). Sheer heaven. Thanks for the tip! I plan to spend a day...

Re: North of Italy: Milan, Turin, Genoa

It's been quite a few years since I was in Genoa, but it is a lovely city with a very rich history. There is a street that runs from the harbor back up a hill that is lined with grand palazzos built in the heyday of Genoa's maritime power. It is well worth booking a guided tour of these palazzos. In...

I work for a large consumer electronics company in Cupertino, California, where I manage a team of software engineers. Now that I've looked at it several times, it appears to me to be tabs from the waistcoat...

I another time, it might have inspired the Order of the Loose Waistcoat Tab.
I may be displaying some ignorance here, but what waistcoats have tabs like that?

Re: Are the days of tailored clothing numbered?

I don't care. I will continue to dress the way I want until they carry me out of here. What other people do or do not do is no concern of mine.

Re: A tweed shooting jacket

How much more expensive can they get when they’re already 1200+ I guess you might be shocked. But you get what you pay for, as I've said. It is the felt, the craft, the attention to detail, and more. If you ever get the chance to visit the Optimo factory, on Chicago's South Side, take it. It's not ...

Re: A tweed shooting jacket

Awesome jacket Andy, how versatile do you find it? I think it could be quite an elevated casual jacket, especially in the countryside, where a suit might be too formal. As I understand it, you’re in Palo Alto, so I’m guessing you don’t get to do much shooting with it. How did you decide to use stee...

Re: Trouser braid type for black tie?

As for limited freedom of movement, I refer to two things, both of which are also drawbacks in all DB jackets for me (even though they are cut a bit shorter): first, the difficulty of placing the rear skirt so that it is not hopelessly creased in auditorium or car seats, where side vents make it ea...
