Guys, I can't thank you enough for all the sound advice. You folks have went above & beyond on helping me. I am 67 & I have to experience this before I die. I am going look all three over & go back to the hotel & study on it as my grandfather used to say. I think from all the advice that I will get ...

Re: first journey into bespoke

OK, let me see if I am getting this correct. You are telling me that A&S is a totally different animal than Poole & Davies. Could someone elaborate on the difference with A&S as the above post made me a little nervous concerning A&S. I will add that Mr Bennett with Davies & son has been more likeabl...

Re: first journey into bespoke

I just spoke with A&S today & I am seeing Mr Hall who took Mr Hitchcocks place & Mr Malone who is their trouser cutter. Anyone familiar with either of these gentlemen? I decided I will get something from Poole, Davies & son & Anderson Sheppard. I need to decide on which one of these I use for the ov...

I am leaving on the 22 of this month & coming back on the 28. I saw the london lounge fox flannels book & have picked out a charcoal & blue 17oz cloths. Also going to use their 26 oz for a overcoat. I guess I am safe using the heavier cloths. Thanks. Grayson. P.S. I don't know who Marc grayson is bu...

I feel as though I need to be in house for first ones I have commissioned. I hope t...

Re: first journey into bespoke

One question I forgot to ask. How big a deal is it for all the work to be done in house as opposed to sending the garment out for sewing? Thanks. Grayson

first journey into bespoke

Hey guys, I am going to London the end of February & have decided I want some suits & a overcoat. The houses I am looking at are Davies & son, Poole & Anderson Sheppard. Are there any of the houses on the Row to avoid at all cost. Any advice for a newcomer on the process. I am only familiar with hig...
