If anyone passes through Tokyo I would strongly recommend dropping by tieyourtie in Aoyama. I have four from them, two bespoke, and I now wear nothing else.

I'm of the opinion that versatility is not really a virtue in tailoring. That is: you get the best from a tailor by asking them to do what they do best, rather than trying to persuade them to explore unfamiliar territory.
