Thanks, Bwooster. Sorry for the much delayed acknowledgement.
Will watch it again, mindful of your observations.
Cheers

Re: The Big Three and Rolex
Prices have reached and exceeded the absurd in the watch business in general, but JLC do put out a fantastic product. From a price standpoint, the new Mont Blanc Ultrathins are worth consideration. Jerome Lambert, former head of JLC, now heads Mont Blanc (both JLC and MB are part of the Richemont Gr...

Re: Shoe storage
I keep my dress shoes polished, placed in their individual felt bags and put away in their original boxes which I label for quick ID. This is a practical solution for me.

Re: Rings and things
Dear Culverwood, My in-laws were married for more than six decades. He never wore a wedding ring, for the same reason you mentioned...a dislike for jewelry on men. But hers has never been off her finger since their wedding day. Their love for one another was inspirational. (He passed away a few year...

Re: Rings and things
Love rings. Diamond, emerald, etc. But subtle and tasteful executions. And for occasional wear. Bracelets too. I have a favorite in white gold. I've long admired extra flourishes like Astaire's 'bit' pin. He's seen wearing 'it' in many of his films and in many still shots. Look for it. And there're ...

Will have to re-watch Dial M, and look for the sartorial details mentioned!

Re pants and zippers, I don't have patience for buttons.
Bags and zippers, though, I'll go along with the consensus here.

Have seen and enjoyed it, too, Hristo.
By the way, I'd like to again encourage you folks to, if you haven't already, watch Astaire's The Pleasure of His Company. His comfortable, casual and elegant style is repeatedly on display. In colour. It's available for viewing on Amazon.com.

Re: What does your closet look like?
I have good closet space to work with, but it had eventually been overwhelmed with accumulated stuff. As already mentioned, to remedy that I've given away lots of items of clothing, much of which I occasionally wish I had room enough to have kept. But they're gone, hopefully benefiting others. What'...
