Thanks. Its been nice to be back. Some of you might know I spent the last 20 months writing, photographyping and publising...and promoting my book.

I am in the process of starting a new project - a dinner suit (need more support on the LL Brisa black for DJ...see thread elsewhere) SB dinner jacket with grosgrain facings on the peak lapel, bow tie from same grosgrain, trousers with grosgrain stripe. My tailor is proposing double of what he usual...

thanks Doug...yes, this suit that I am being offered is vintage. The pictures look ok, but I am not sure...and I am not about to bespeak a morning suit anytime soon...considering that I will probably never get to wear it...maybe at my son's wedding...he is only 15 this year, so that may be some time...

Anyone with experiences with them? I have been offered a vintage morning suit (cutaways and striped trousers) but unable to examine the articles of clothing. Comments, views appreciated.

I am with Costi here...the heavier cloth will drape much better. And seriously a fresco or fresco-like material like Brisa will be cool to wear...regardless of weight.

I would agree with you Pelham...the length is good. Any longer, and the break would spoil the nice line of the trousers. but the trousers seem a tad short. They would benefit considerably from a little more break. I'd be very interested to know if other members agree with that comment. It seems to m...
